| Job Description | Broadcom currently has an opportunity for a highly motivated & experienced Engineer to utilize their protocol knowledge for Architecture Validation of state-of-the-art next generation network switching devices. In this role, you will be required to become an expert in the architecture of our network switching devices. You will interface with network switch architects who have more than 20 years of field experience to validate the network switching devices. Broadcom offers a fast paced, exciting work environment & as such you should enjoy a variety of work task & be a quick learner. Fundamentally, your role is to validate various networking protocols and help to bring these network switching devices to market rapidly & successfully. You will contribute directly to the success of the products that you support. You will be involved in many of the following duties & responsibilities: - Develop test plans & test vectors - Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently - Comprehend and debug C/C++ - Debugging of complicated problems or bugs - Register level programming of complex devices - Architecture, programming, or support of complex System on a Chip devices - Stay tuned to latest updates to the various networking protocols - Write application notes for features for internal/external customer reference You will work with global team & must have good skills interacting with team. You may be required to work with a variety of internal employees in Software & Hardware Engineering, Architecture, Application Engineering, Field Applications Engineering. |
| Job Requirements | Total engineering experience required is typically a BE/BTECH/ME/MTECH degree and 0-3 years of experience. You need to be comfortable with the following: - Ability to understand architecture specifications & develop test plans - Ability to develop test vectors & debug bugs - Ability to document complex functionality in a succinct manner You should have experience and/or knowledge in many of the following areas: Communications - Excellent written and verbal skills - Excellent teamwork skills Networking - Ethernet - TCP/IP - Networking protocols - Switching and Routing technologies |
